A great way to find design deals near you is in your local Sunday newspaper.

Today I found this awesome reading chair on sale at Cost Plus (one of my fav bargain shops by the way).
The Baroque Jacquard upholstery can be a perfect accent for any office or sitting area, and can also be combined with either contemporary or traditional design that may already exist in your home.

This could still be a bit pricey for some, but this is the kind of chair that can last a long time, so I think it could be a great design investment.

I also love the small reading table with it!

Joining the Blogging world!

Hi to all!

Im super excited to start this new blogging adventure!

Ive always had a secret talent for creating fantastic designs on a small budget, and with this bad economy lingering above all our heads, i know my ideas could be more helpful than ever!

Ive recently started taking pictures of all the awesome art, furniture, accessories and design ideas that i see at thrift shops or great bargain stores like Homegoods. Items that i know are quality design pieces and that can brighten, pop, or complete any room.
 So instead of dreaming about what i can do with all these things for myself, i plan on sharing them with you!

I have my Bachelors degree in Interior Design and have worked in the construction business for over 6 years, but ive really learned more about design just by walking the streets of my own neighborhood.....

I also have a passion for traveling which is one of my favorite ways of seeing and learning new design trends.
